Newborn & Birth Photographer in the Var

Newborn & Birth Photographer in the Var

A newborn changes everything, and so quickly. The tiny hands, the breath against a shoulder, the happy tiredness of the first days: a birth photoshoot keeps what memory alone eventually blurs. As a newborn photographer in the Var, I photograph these beginnings with endless gentleness.

The right time for a newborn session

Newborn sessions are best held within the first ten to fifteen days, while the baby sleeps a great deal and still curls up as they did in the womb. But a birth can’t be planned to the day: we book before the due date, and set the session once your little one has arrived.

There’s nothing to stop us photographing a little later, either: at three weeks, at a month, the waking of the gaze offers other images, every bit as beautiful.

An unhurried approach, at home

I favour birth sessions in your own home, in your light, your bed, your gestures. No elaborate staging, no props: the presence of the parents, the skin, the quiet. We move at the baby’s pace, taking all the time it needs.

This documentary, fine-art approach suits families in Toulon, Saint-Mandrier, La Seyne and Hyères just as well as those anywhere in the Var who long for an honest keepsake, far from stiff, held poses.

A growing family

A newborn session is often the first photograph of the family as four — or more. An older child discovering their little sister, two grown-up hands around such a small body: these are the bonds I love to catch.

Frequently asked questions

When should I book my newborn photoshoot?

Ideally within 10 to 15 days of the birth, while the baby sleeps a great deal. We can also photograph later, around three weeks or a month.

Does the newborn session take place in a studio or at home?

Most often at your home, in your own light and privacy. I travel to Toulon, Saint-Mandrier and throughout the Var.

Can the parents and older children be in the photos?

Yes, and it’s truly precious. The first images of the whole family together are among the most moving.
